Battery Zone UAE

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 August 2026.

This policy explains what personal data Battery Zone UAE collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the rights you hold over it. It is written to meet Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, the UAE's federal data protection law, which has been in force since 2 January 2022.

It applies to this website and to every job we attend, whether you booked by phone, by WhatsApp, or online.

1. Who We Are

Battery Zone UAE operates a mobile automotive assistance business from Zaa'beel Second, DIFC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We attend vehicles at the roadside, at homes, and at workplaces across Dubai and the surrounding emirates.

For the purposes of the UAE Personal Data Protection Law we act as the Data Controller for the personal data described in this policy. That means we decide what is collected and why, and we are accountable for it. If you want to reach the person who handles data questions, use our contact page.

2. What We Collect

We collect only what we need to reach you, to fit the correct part, and to honour the warranty afterwards. In practice that falls into four groups:

a. Details you give us when you book

  • Your name and the mobile number we call you back on
  • An email address, where you give one, so we can send an invoice or a warranty record
  • The location the vehicle is at, including a pin you share over WhatsApp

b. Details about the vehicle

  • Make, model and year, which determine the correct specification
  • Registration or plate details where they are needed for an invoice or a warranty claim
  • What the technician found and fitted, kept as the service record behind your warranty

c. Payment details

Where you pay by card, the card is processed by the payment provider on the technician's terminal. We see the outcome of the transaction and the amount. We do not store your full card number.

d. Technical data from this website

Standard information your browser sends, such as device type, approximate location by IP address, and the pages you viewed. This is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful and to keep the site secure.

We do not ask for, and have no reason to hold, sensitive personal data as that term is defined in the UAE Personal Data Protection Law. Please do not send us health, biometric, religious or similar information.

3. Why We Use It, and Our Lawful Basis

The UAE Personal Data Protection Law requires a lawful basis for every use of personal data. Ours are as follows:

  • To dispatch a technician and complete the job you asked for. Basis: performance of the contract between us.
  • To invoice you and keep the accounting records UAE tax and commercial law requires us to keep. Basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
  • To honour a warranty claim, which requires us to look up what was fitted and when. Basis: performance of the contract.
  • To answer a question you sent us and to keep a record of that exchange. Basis: our legitimate interest in running the business and in being able to evidence what was agreed.
  • To send you offers or service reminders. Basis: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Where we rely on consent, we must be able to demonstrate that you gave it, so we keep a record of when and how it was given.

4. Who We Share It With

We do not sell personal data, and we do not trade it for marketing purposes. We share it only where a job or the law requires it:

  • The technician attending your vehicle, who needs your location and the vehicle details
  • A manufacturer or authorised distributor, where a warranty claim on a part has to be raised with them
  • Payment providers, who process the card transaction
  • Professional advisers, auditors and insurers, where they are bound by confidentiality
  • A competent UAE authority, court or regulator, where we are legally required to disclose

Where a supplier processes data on our behalf, they act as a Data Processor under our written instructions and may not use the data for their own purposes.

5. Transfers Outside the UAE

Our records are held in the UAE wherever possible. Some of the everyday tools any business uses, such as email and website analytics, are operated by providers whose servers sit outside the UAE. Where personal data leaves the country we rely on the transfer conditions the UAE Personal Data Protection Law permits, which include transfers to jurisdictions recognised as offering adequate protection and transfers made under appropriate contractual safeguards.

6. How Long We Keep It

We do not keep personal data for longer than the purpose requires:

  • Enquiries that do not become jobs are cleared once the enquiry is closed
  • Job and warranty records are kept for the life of the warranty and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a claim can still be verified
  • Invoices and accounting records are kept for the period UAE commercial and tax law requires
  • Marketing consent records are kept until you withdraw consent, and the record of the withdrawal is then kept so we can prove we acted on it

7. Your Rights Under UAE Law

The UAE Personal Data Protection Law gives you rights over your data. You may:

  • Ask what we hold about you and request a copy of it
  • Ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete it, where we are not required to keep it
  • Ask us to stop or restrict a particular use
  • Object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests
  • Receive the data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable form, or ask us to transfer it
  • Withdraw a consent you previously gave, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it

To exercise any of these, use our contact page. We will ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that nobody else can obtain your data by asking for it, and we will respond within the period the law allows.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the UAE Data Office, the federal authority responsible for personal data protection.

8. Cookies and Measurement

This site uses a small number of cookies. Some are strictly necessary and make the site work at all. Others are analytics cookies that tell us, in aggregate, which pages people find useful. Analytics cookies are not necessary for the site to function and you may refuse them without losing access to anything.

Every current browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block future ones. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working as intended.

9. How We Protect It

The law requires appropriate technical and organisational measures, judged against the risk. Ours include serving this website over an encrypted connection, limiting access to job and customer records to the people who need them, and requiring confidentiality from staff and contractors.

No system can be guaranteed absolutely secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach occurs that is likely to prejudice your privacy or your rights, we will notify the UAE Data Office and, where the law requires it, you.

10. Children

Our services are arranged by adults, and this site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, tell us through our contact page and we will delete it.

11. Other Websites

Where we link to a manufacturer, a mapping service or another third party, that site is governed by its own privacy policy and not by this one. We are not responsible for how those operators handle your data.

12. Changes to This Policy

When this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page. Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will make that clear rather than rely on the date alone.

13. How to Reach Us

Questions about this policy, requests to exercise your rights, and complaints all go to the same place. Reach us on the details below, or through our contact page.
