Why Your Car Is Missing From Parts Catalogues
Mercedes introduced the C450 AMG Sport as a step between the ordinary C-Class and a full AMG. It lasted a single model year. For 2017 the car was renamed the Mercedes-AMG C43, partly to retire the awkward AMG Sport label and partly to place the model clearly in the AMG hierarchy.
Nothing meaningful changed underneath. The M276 3.0 litre biturbo V6, the W205 platform and the 4MATIC drivetrain all carried over. Later cars gained a nine-speed automatic in place of the seven-speed and a marginally more rearward torque split, and that is close to the whole list.
But catalogues are built around badges rather than engineering. Many suppliers simply folded the C450 into the C43 entry and never looked back, which is why an owner searching their own car's name can be told it does not exist. It does. It is just filed elsewhere.
