Once is a warning and twice in a week is an answer. A healthy battery flattened by lights left on should hold its charge afterwards; one that needs a second boost within a few days is no longer holding charge at all. Ask for the free battery and alternator test while the technician is with you, because that is what separates a tired battery from a charging fault.

It usually means the alternator is not recharging the battery while you drive. The boost gives the car enough to run, but nothing is replacing what the starter took, so the next attempt finds the battery as flat as before. Our test covers the charging system as well as the battery, and alternator repair is something we carry out at your location.

A jump pack, in almost every case. The technician arrives with one in the van, so there is no need to manoeuvre a second car nose to nose with yours on a live road. In a basement or a narrow street the pack is the only workable option anyway.

Yes, and it costs nothing. The test is free whether or not you buy anything, and it is the only way to see a battery losing capacity before it strands you. We are out 24 hours a day, so book it for a time the car is parked up anyway.

It is a charging warning, not a battery warning. The lamp lights when system voltage falls below what the alternator should be producing, which points at the alternator, its belt or its wiring rather than at the battery itself. Keep the drive short, switch off what you can, and call us: diagnosis starts from AED 50 and most repairs are done where the car is, in 30 to 60 minutes.

Yes, and it can do it in either direction. An alternator that undercharges leaves the battery permanently half empty until the plates sulfate; one that overcharges cooks it dry. That is why the test covers the charging system as well: fitting a new battery to a car with a failing alternator only buys you a few weeks.

It can be. A squeal that rises and falls with engine speed is often the drive belt slipping, and a steady whine can be worn alternator bearings. Neither is worth leaving, and we inspect and replace belts, pulleys and connections as part of an alternator job rather than treating them as a separate visit.

Often, and the pattern is what tells you which part is at fault. Lights that brighten when you rev and sink at idle point at the alternator; lights that are dim from the first turn of the key point at the battery. A four point charging check settles it in a few minutes, and it is free.

Yes. You get a quote before the car moves, and what we quote is what you pay. A local tow inside Dubai starts from AED 150, with the figure depending on where you are, the traffic and the vehicle; a basement or desert pull out, or a low clearance car, is priced differently and we say so up front.

For most cars, yes. A flatbed carries all four wheels clear of the road, which is what an all wheel drive car, a very low car or anything with a damaged axle needs. A wheel lift is quicker and perfectly safe for a short move of a conventional two wheel drive car. Tell us the car when you book and the right truck is sent.

Yes, on a flatbed. Dragging an all wheel drive car with two wheels turning spins the drivetrain with no oil pump running, which is how transfer cases are destroyed, so those vehicles go on the bed every time. Our fleet runs flatbeds alongside wheel lift trucks for exactly this reason.

Yes. A car that cannot be steered or shifted into neutral is winched onto a flatbed rather than rolled, and the trucks carry winches and air lift jacks for it. Mention it when you call so the right unit arrives first time instead of second.

Towing moves a car that is already somewhere a truck can reach it. Recovery gets it to that place first, which can mean winching it out of soft sand, bringing it up a basement ramp, or dealing with a vehicle that cannot roll. Recovery takes longer and is priced differently, so say which situation you are in when you call.

Get off the carriageway if the car still rolls, put the hazard lights on, and wait well away from the traffic rather than in the car or beside it. Give us a landmark or an exit number as well as the location pin, because that is what puts the truck on the right side of the road. Do not attempt a roadside repair on a fast road; wait for the crew.

Yes. A car locked in Park is an ordinary recovery job: it goes onto a flatbed so no wheel has to turn. It is also a common symptom of a flat battery, because the shift interlock is electric, so the crew will check the battery before anyone blames the gearbox.

Yes. A car that has stood for months usually has a flat battery, soft tyres and sticking brakes, so it is treated as a recovery rather than a tow and goes on the bed. Tell us where it is parked and roughly how long it has been there and we will bring what is needed to move it in one visit.

Roadside assistance is anything that can be finished where the car is standing: a jump start, a battery fitted, a wheel changed, fuel delivered, a lockout, a puncture plugged. If the car cannot be made driveable there, it becomes a tow or a recovery and is quoted as one. The technician tells you which it is before starting work.

Four things: where you are, with a landmark as well as a location pin; the make and model; what the car is doing or refusing to do; and whether it is somewhere awkward, such as a basement, a ramp or soft sand. That is enough for us to send the right van or truck first time rather than a second one after it.

Yes, and say so when you call so it is treated as urgent. A car blocking a lane or a car park ramp gets moved first and diagnosed second: the crew clears it to somewhere safe, then deals with the battery, tyre or fuel. We are out 24 hours a day and usually with you in 30 minutes or less.

We would rather you did, for your own safety and so the work can be confirmed with you before and after. Where that is genuinely not possible, say so when you book and we will coordinate it with you remotely instead. Either way, nothing is charged until the job is finished.

Where the shoulder is wide enough and the traffic allows, yes. Where it is not safe to work next to a live lane, the car is lifted and moved somewhere it is, and the wheel is changed there instead. While you wait, stand well back from the car rather than beside it.

It is done where the car is. The mobile fitment vans carry tyre mounting and balancing machines, air compressors and torque wrenches, so a new tyre is mounted, balanced and fitted without the wheel ever leaving your sight. That is the whole point of the van: no workshop visit, and no tow to get there.

Read the sticker on the wheel itself, which states the speed and distance limit for that particular spare. Space savers exist to get you to a fitter, not to be driven on, and they change how the car brakes and corners. Call us instead and we will fit a full size tyre where the car is, so the spare goes back in the boot unused.

It can, and it does not take long. A deflated tyre lets the rim run on the road surface, which buckles the wheel and can strain the suspension. Stop as soon as you feel it: the technician checks the rim and the bead as well as the tyre, and will tell you if it needs more than rubber.

No. The sidewall flexes with every turn of the wheel, so a plug or a patch there will not stay put and the tyre has to be replaced. Only damage in the tread area is repairable, and the technician will tell you which you have before touching it.

A proper tread repair lasts the remaining life of the tyre. What ends that life is tread depth and the age of the rubber, not the repair, and the heat here ages rubber faster than a cool climate does. Have the pressure checked a week later, because a repair that is going to fail shows itself quickly.

Yes, that is routine. A slow leak is usually a nail too small to see, a corroded rim bead or a leaking valve, and all three are found the same way, by taking the wheel off and testing it properly. Most repairs are finished in under 30 minutes at your location.

That depends on your tyre maker's own terms, which we cannot speak for. What we can do is document the work: every job carries an invoice stating what was done, and that is what a manufacturer asks to see. Keep it with the car's paperwork.

Call first, then get the car off the structure if it still rolls, because a bridge or a tunnel is the one place you should not sit and wait. If it will not move at all, give us the exact point and your direction of travel. Delivery is usually inside 30 minutes anywhere in Dubai.

There is a surcharge of around AED 20 for a night or remote delivery, and you are told about it before we set off. Nothing else is added afterwards. As a guide, petrol up to 10 litres runs about AED 100 to 120 and diesel up to 20 litres about AED 120 to 150, varying with distance and fuel type.

Whichever your car takes. The fuel type and grade are confirmed with you when you book and matched to the vehicle, because the wrong grade in a modern engine is a problem rather than an inconvenience. We carry petrol, diesel and gas.

Yes. Diesel delivery covers commercial fleets and construction machinery as well as cars, and the gas service is there for generators and equipment that cannot be driven to a station. Volumes from a few litres upwards, 24 hours a day.

All of it. Seventy-four neighbourhoods have a page of their own, and we go anywhere in the city, including basement car parks, multi storey garages and desert tracks. Look your area up or simply call and ask; there is nowhere in Dubai we will not come to.

No. There is no call-out fee and no charge for fitting. What you pay for is the part or the fuel, the battery test is free whether or not you buy anything, and nothing is asked for until the work is finished.

Yes. Sedans, SUVs, vans, trucks, motorcycles, buses and commercial fleets are all covered, and for fuel that extends to construction machinery and generators. Motorcycle batteries are replaced on the spot and bikes are towed on dedicated racks, so name the vehicle when you call and the right unit is sent.

An invoice for every job, stating what was done and the warranty that applies to the parts and the labour. Battery warranties run 12, 18 or 24 months depending on the battery, with a one time replacement and terms applying. Keep the invoice: it is what any later claim is checked against.
